Humility: Putting Others First is a Blessing

Humility in the eyes of God Almighty is a virtue that involves having a modest opinion of oneself and recognizing one’s own limitations. It is a recognition that God is the source of all power and authority and that we are dependent on Him for our lives and our blessings.

Humility is an important part of a relationship with God, as it allows us to recognize our need for Him and to seek His guidance and direction in our lives.

Philippians 2:3-4 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Romans 12:10 – “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”

1 Peter 5:5-6 – “Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.” . James 4:10 – “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” 5.

Matthew 23:12 – “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
